The School of Medicine – University of Minho and CUF Academy offer an intensive course for operating room nurses in robotic surgery. The learning module represents an advanced course performed over a two days period with a hands-on daVinci® Xi system. The theoretical training will be done during the course with didactic lectures, videos, discussions.

All participants of da Vinci robotic surgery training will be trained in the following:

  • How to do proper operative room setup of da Vinci robot
  • How to do patient preparation and positioning in robotic surgery
  • Fundamentals of da Vinci® Surgical System components and instrumentation
  • Learn “tricks of the trade” tips for efficient robotic surgery
